Have you ordered a new or used Tesla and are now keen to get any news on progress? Do you want an order notification if the car is moved, the VIN is assigned, or there are changes to any key dates including when the car is due at the delivery centre? Well we may have the answer.
We can track your reservation/order and let you know when certain information changes. In the past the amount of information available was quite extensive however Tesla have cut back significantly on the amout of data available. We can still tell you if a car has been allocated to you and what the VIN number is.
An example email is shown, and as well as the changes detected, it includes a summary of the latest information.
We DO NOT look at or store the financial progress or personal information e.g. whether your finance agreement has been completed, your name or date of birth etc as we do not want to store any information regarding this, we focus on the tracking of the car, and its journey to you. Whilst the data is included by Tesla in the data they provide us by default, we simple ignore it.
Beware of other trackers such as TOST or the "Boring order tracker" as these do look at your finance information, and continue to make bold claims about the information available which is no longer possible. We've been providing services based on the Tesla API for over 6 years, and services to the Tesla community for 10 years as part of Tesla-Info, and have always advised owners of the risks of sharing your API. We've even been awarded bounty for finding security issues with the Tesla API.
If, however, you do want to receive these email notifications then head over to our token generation tool and add your email address. We'll then use that email address to notify you of any orders or reservations that we can see via the resulting token, the first email will be sent typically within a hour of signing up. You'll have the option to stop these emails, either by letting us know, or by changing your Tesla password.
Changing your Tesla password is the ONLY way you can invalidate all your existing Tesla tokens reliably and is the advice we'd give every Tesla owner when using ANY 3rd party tool.
