Tesla Battery health analysis using CPO data

We take the CPO battery health data and show you our analysis of the trends. This is using the battery health actually reported by Tesla, comparing the rated range with their reported range. As part of Tesla CPO listings, the raw data includes both the rated range and now the actual range following the degradation of the battery. This data is available for nearly all the CPO cars globally, typically only missing from very recent cars. We include this data in our CPO listings, but we have also consolidated the information here so you can compare models.

Battery health by mileage

The chart shows battery state of health using Tesla data by mileage. You can toggle on and off sets of results by clicking on the legend.


Averages by model code

We have taken the average battery health and average mileage for each of the model codes below, limiting the results to only the examples where there are at least 20 cars. The modelcode is typically a 5 letter code that uniquely specifies the model, trim, battery and other factors in the production of that car and changes when significant updates happen to the model such as a new battery is used. We publish these model codes in our inventory listings as for some people this is a key marker of the model they want to buy. Whilst 2 cars can appear the same, for instance the Model 3 Highland Performance, there are several version with small differences even in the same market, with the transition potentially happening mid year.
